Casa / Home

The Casa / Home series started with the urgency to document, through photographs and videos, my childhood home of 18 years after the devastating Hurricane Maria in 2017. After the hurricane, which forced me to relocate to the USA, every time I returned home the feeling of alienation deepened, and a fear of having nothing material to remember the house and terrain that saw me grow up developed. Therefore, this project has turned into an archive of my grandparents/mis abuelos, their house/mi casa, the field/mi campo, and mis memorias/my memories with it.
